Supports learners to develop practical skills and knowledge required to provide Independent Advocacy as introduced within the Care Act 2014.
You can attend this course as your Specialist Unit along with the Core Units to gain Level 3 Qualification in Independent Advocacy (QIA).
You can also attend this course as a – Stand alone Unit.
- Please note: our City & Guilds Units 301 through to 310 & 313 are ‘competency-based’ i.e. assessed by producing a portfolio of evidence to meet the learning outcomes. You therefore must be working as an Independent Care Act advocate to draw from your current practice for your portfolio of evidence. The qualification is suitable for both new and experienced Care Act advocates.
- You do not need to be a practicing Care Act Advocate if you are attending for Continuing Professional Development only.
