Complete this unit if you are an Independent Advocate currently working with adults in these settings: care homes, hospital wards, community settings, supported housing, prisons, day centres and police stations.or would like to learn more about this area.
You can attend this course as your Specialist Unit along with the Core Units to gain Level 3 Qualification in Independent Advocacy (QIA).
You can also attend this course as a – Stand alone Unit.
- Please note: our City & Guilds Units 301 through to 310 & 313 are ‘competency-based’ i.e. assessed by producing a portfolio of evidence to meet the learning outcomes. You therefore must be working as an Independent advocate to draw from your current practice for your portfolio of evidence. The qualification is suitable for both new and experienced Independent advocates.
- You do not need to be a practicing Independent Advocate if you are attending for Continuing Professional Development only.
